Keeping everyone under one roof cuts down on trips, phone calls and paperwork. We can line up appointments for several family members in a row, and your insurance details only need to be set up once.
It also helps us spot patterns. Cavities, crowding and gum problems often run in families. When we know a parent's history, we can watch for the same early signs in a child and act before small problems grow.
Built for nervous patients and busy schedules
Plenty of adults put off the dentist because of a bad experience years ago. We take time to explain each step, check in while we work and offer nitrous oxide or other sedation when it helps.
For children, we keep visits short and upbeat. We show them the tools, count their teeth together and celebrate good brushing so the dental chair feels familiar instead of scary.

Family Dentistry: common questions
At what age should my child first see a dentist?
Most children should have a first dental visit by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming in. Early visits are short and gentle. They let us check how teeth are developing and give parents tips on brushing, bottles and snacks.
How often should my family get dental checkups?
Most people do well with a checkup and cleaning every six months. Patients with a history of gum disease, frequent cavities or braces may need visits every three or four months. We set a schedule for each person based on what we see.
Can we schedule several family members at once?
Yes. Let our front desk know who needs a visit and we will try to book appointments back to back or at the same time with different team members. It saves families from making several separate trips to our Hulen Street office.
Do you see patients without dental insurance?
Yes. Families without insurance can join the Smiles in-house savings plan, which covers routine checkups, cleanings and x-rays for a yearly fee and lowers the cost of other care. We also accept FSA and HSA cards and offer monthly financing.
Ready when you are.
